Things I Love Today

Jenga - With friends, in the pub, on a Tuesday evening.

Hair Bands - So retro, so 80's, so Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf. While I'm waiting to go get myself a new shiny haircut I'll just entertain myself with a selection of hair bands to keep my tresses under control. My fake hair plait is my favourite at the moment.

Simple Desktops - I love, love, love this site. You just have to go check it out and update your desktop.

Honourable Mentions - ham and cheese jambons, feather duvets, my flat black boots, Easter eggs in the shops already, non-working weekends.

First Time For Everything

Here's me, because I have never put up a photo of myself on my own blog. I shall face the fear head on. I will warn you all though - I rarely smile in photos. The one above is a rare exception.

It was taken at the UL Archery October Bank Holiday Shoot, it was fancy dress (I was the Ringmaster for the day)

Things I Love Today

Little And Large:
Myself and D went into town for a little look yesterday morning and D pointed out a beautiful tunic that she thought I might like, so I tried it on - as did D. When we both emerged from the dressing room we realised that what was a tunic on me was a dress on her. Never did I feel so tall in my bare feet as when I stood beside D's 5'2'' frame and realised that 5'5'' isn't really very short at all. So we both bought the tunic/dress and I just have to remember that if you can't bend over in it then it is a top!

Driving Home: I know that most people hate being stuck in Friday evening traffic, bumper to bumper, but I actually love it. I crank up the stereo, usually have a coffee beside me and I sing along to whatever cd I have on at the top of my voice, sometimes I might even have a little boogie. I feel free when I'm all alone in the car - safe in my own little metal bubble. I'm driving back home tonight to say hi to my parents this weekend, should be fun.

Swings and Things: I think the time has come to sneek into the local playground at night and just play for a little while, swings, slides, the jungle gym and monkey bars, maybe even a spin on the roundabout. Have you ever snuck into somewhere after dark and played?

Honorable Mentions: Chocolate covered brazil nuts, skull print scarves, G chats with people I actually want to talk to, walks with my dog

Things I Love Thursday

Eyebrow Wax - It might seem strange to you that I would out something like an eyebrow wax up as a TiLT but you have no idea how much I am looking forward to getting my bushy brows taken care of. I have spent the last 5 weeks trying to not go near them to try to thicken my brows, and ladies, it was torture! I hate having unplucked eyebrows - it gets between me and my nights sleep. So once 6pm rolls around I am out of the office and straight into the beautician. Yea!

Chips & Salsa - Or more precisely - chips, salsa & a nice glass of white wine. My evening is all mapped out and I am very much looking forward to it. The couch, the remote, bliss.

Team Hoyt - If you are not into archery you might not know the significance of the fact that I was delighted to find out yesterday that we have more Hoyt shooters than Samick shooters in our club. There is an ongoing thing in our club about Korean bows v's American bows and it is hilarious to watch how strongly our members will defend their chosen make. This is much much worse than any Team Edward - Team Jacob feud (I am team Hoyt all the way, I shoot a Nexus with M1 limbs).

Honourable Mentions - Starbucks, when someone else is buying, chocolate chip cookies gifted by a friend who wanted to cheer me up, a piggy bank nearly full of change waiting to be cashed in, being invited to attend elite team training in my club

February Wishes

source

Well hello February!

Spring is well and truly here. The rain has come back to Limerick with a vengence, and I still haven't replaced my brolly.

Oh how I long for warmer days, bare legs, a gentle breeze, and any excuse for an ice cream, flirty skirts, not needing to wear a coat everywhere, lemon sorbet and bright evenings.

What are you looking forward to most about the spring?
