Finding Friends - I haven't gotten to see the girls from Bonzie Designs in ages and today they will be in Limerick for the Artisans Craft Fair! So excited! Can't wait! Overusing exclamation marks!

Bright Eyes - Sometimes you just need a little pop of colour on your face to lift everything when your day just seems dull and drab. A sweep of jade, a flick of turquoise, a smudge of sunshine yellow. Go on, put some summer on your face.

Bank Holidays - What's your plans this weekend? I'm starting off with a little work back home on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, but heading down to Cork city ofter work to see friends that I have neglected for way too long. The Irish Outdoor Nationals are on Sunday but I'll only be there as a spectator this year (stupid injuries). And hopefully the day will end up in a bar in the city with an archery darts tournament. Recovery and a return to Limerick on Monday.

Bangles - Wrists full of huge, over the top, jangling bangles. All the way up to your elbows. Keep your eyes peeled at car boot sales and second hand stores for volume. The more the merrier.

Plain White Tees - For many years I shunned the white tee, the white vest, the white shirt, the white anything to be honest. I was too careless to not spill something down the front, too colourful to wear something as plain and dull as white. But times change, white is seen through my eyes as fresh and crisp. To the sales - to stock up on the basics that I always should have had.

Fred - The band, the legends, the great night out in Galway city last weekend. Upbeat, energetic and always a joy to watch. Check out their site for more info.

I had a little accident over the weekend when I slipped on some concrete stairs and landed on my back but another few days and I should be right as rain again.

This weeks Girl Friday goes to Kate Hudson for two reasons.

1 - She is incredibly vivacious and witty.
&
2 - All they guys picked Heather Graham over Kate in a poll last week as to who they thought was prettier. They claimed that Kate was too flat chested. Well I disagree, you do not have to be large chested to be considered pretty. Kate is beautiful and that is a damn good reason to be my Girl Friday.

On a side note - Pretty Girl Friday is a take on Robinson Crusoe's Man Friday. It does not indicate that I am more interested in women than men Mike.

Freshly Dyed Hair - Do you know the feeling you get when you look in the mirror and just can't quite put your finger on why you're not crazy about your reflection? You look at your skin, it's good, your eyebrows, neat and tidy, teeth are clean, eyes are bright and have a little sparkle in them... what is it??? A box of dye, a friend who can reach the bits at the back and a night in and you are transformed. Now your reflection has a little more colour in it :)

Late Night Conversations - Alarm goes off at 7.30am, bleery eyed I turn it off and roll over for just five more minutes. Can't figure out why I'm so tired... and then I remember... Wasn't I up talking to someone until 2.30am??? And I do the same thing the next night too.

DIY - I got an idea this week. I have a great, pretty comfortable pair of sky high wedges but they are a little worse for wear after two years. So I hit the back garden armed with some newspaper and a can of matt black spray paint. Three coats, and more drying time than I thought, later I am the proud-as-punch owner of a new (to me) pair of sexy black wedges. Go me!

Does A Shoe Say Something About You?

Along with heading to the market this weekend, the girlies and I went on a a little shoe hunt. Who can resist the lure of the summer sales? The three shoes above were all on sale at Dorothy Perkins - we almost set up camp in the shop for the night - so many pretty clothes!

I'll even give you a little insight into all of our personalities...

Raymy - she loves all things smart, simple and nautical. She believes you can never have too many pairs of ballet flats, or hairbands. I have never seen anyone to layer clothes as perfectly as she can, she is a jersey queen.

Sonya - she believes that form should follow function. She loves her car more than her wardrobe, and her fiance more than her car. She rocks the most amazing bangs but has taken to pinning them back for the last few months. Bring back the bangs S! Oh... she owns more pairs of jeans than you could possible imagine.

And then me - I love big earrings and even bigger rings. I can't go a day without coffee. I buy more shoes than I could ever possible wear and feel happy to just put them on display and look at them. I also own more handbags then the other two girls put together. I have finally embraced wearing dresses.

Only one of us actually bought the shoes we loved. For a bonus point can you guess which shoe was bought?

Had a Nice Day

Raymy and myself went for a little wander yesterday around the city center, it being a lazy Sunday and all, and we decided to start our wander at the newly refurbished Milk Market. To be honest - I really wanted to call and see Ruth's new stand at the market.

The new market site is so pretty and fresh looking, and even though the market has only been open a few weeks and every stand wasn't occupied there was a lovely atmosphere to the space. I predict that the Friday, Saturday and Sunday markets will only get bigger and bigger as the summer progresses.

I decided to treat myself to several of Ruth's beautiful badges (if you want to get some, and can't get to the market, Ruth has a great shop on etsy). The 'Domestic Goddess' one was a present for S (she did a monster clean up in our house this week - Thank you S!), the 'Tea' one is most definitely for me and I saw the bulldog badge and just couldn't help but think of Naomi, Josh and, of course, Kingsley over at the Rockstar Diaries. I must get their address and send it over to them.
