Monday Misery

I'm been having an off week.

Problems seem a little worse than they should be, the weather seems to be that little more miserable, money seems to be a little more scarce, friends seem to be a little further away. Ever get one of those weeks? I'm pretty sure we all get those weeks. I decided to try to get the jump on this one though and while I was in town running errands for my mum yesterday I made sure to bring my current book. And me and my book headed for the nice coffee shop in town that overlooks the river to see if a steaming hot mocha and some time to read could make me smile before a frown set in.

Unfortunately it hasn't seemed to work...

Have you any other solutions to recommend? I could really do with some help.

  1. A good chinwag!

Optional extras include: chocolate, biscuits, tea, food of the more sustaining variety etc.

  2. Oh gosh, yep, we all get those.

It will pass. I know that sucks to hear, but it will.

In the meantime though: baths and tea and chocolate and funny, silly movies and your favourite book and warm cozy blankets and phone calls and baking and all the little things that make you happy.

And most importantly, don't beat yourself up for feeling glum. If a friend was down in the dumps, you'd do what you could to cheer her up, imagine you're that friend and treat yourself extra nice :)

  3. @Fredrick - I demand a chinwag at the earliest opportunity

@lovers, saints & sailors - Thanks for the tips. N night on the sofa with a cozy blanket and a sweet movie might just do the trick

  4. I say sweets, some pretty (new) shoes, lots of fun music and maybe dancing around and singing to it? Getting all dolled up and just staying in.

Oh and reading some blogs! :)
